▌Eigenlayer to Introduce Inter-Blockchain Forks at EIGEN Token Launch
Eigenlayer describes a high-level overview of its Inter-Blockchain Fork Protocol V1 in a white paper published on GitHub. Eigenlayer will introduce a new crypto-economic security system called inter-subject forks, which is designed to complement Ethereum re-collateralization. There are two separate tokens in Eigenlayer, bEIGEN (powered by EIGEN) is used for staking, and EIGEN is used for non-staking purposes, such as DeFi. bEIGEN can be forked. Both bEIGEN and EIGEN are ERC20 contracts. Anyone can instantly exchange 1 bEIGEN for 1 EIGEN and vice versa. Only bEIGEN forks that currently support EIGEN will be considered for wrapping and unwrapping. Eigenlayer will build V2 on top of V1, and in V3, the ability to resist malicious behavior by the Security Council will be implemented. Before V1 is fully launched, there will be a whitelisting process for inter-subject AVS, and all whitelisted AVS are run by all EIGEN stakeholders.

▌What isEthereum Futures ETF?
Ethereum futures ETFs are investment funds that track Ethereum futures contracts rather than Ethereum itself. In 2021, Canada launched the first Ethereum futures ETFs. Although futures-based ETFs have been approved, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has not yet approved a spot Ethereum ETF in the country. Asset management companies regulate Ethereum futures ETFs. The main issuers offering Ethereum futures ETFs are Bitwise, VanEck, and ProShares. These companies handle the complex issues involved in purchasing and disposing of futures contracts, controlling rollovers to retain risk exposure, and ensuring that ETFs comply with legal requirements.
