MOVE is moving towards EVM, and Movement's ongoing testnet has completed more than 30 million transactions in less than 2 weeks.
Movement raised $38 million, and the zkMove-based Ethereum Rollup M2 will be launched later this year.
I chatted with Movement co-founder @coopsmoves, who revealed some inside information.
This is the alpha you need to know.

Movement Overview
In essence, Movement Labs is not introducing a new first or second layer. Instead, they are integrating the next-generation smart contract language MOVE into existing blockchains without requiring users to leave their ecosystems, bridge assets, or download new infrastructure.
They are collaborative, not competitive.
Their recent testnet metrics are outstanding, in less than two weeks they have achieved:

Overall, Movement is very useful for AI use cases. Here’s why:
The power + efficiency of MoveVM
Seamlessly handle massive transaction volumes
Unparalleled security of Move
Ultra-high throughput with BlockSTM parallelization
Joint EVM and Move ecosystem

What is M1?
M1 is the “working core” of the Movement network and is designed to be the pinnacle of modularity.
M1 is a decentralized sorter that extends Snowman consensus to any blockchain, appchain, or network within the Movement framework.
Thanks to Snowman consensus, M1 provides the fastest and most scalable processing mechanism.

What is M2?
M2 is the Movement mainnet, an Ethereum rollup based on zero-knowledge (ZK) Move.
It is where applications are deployed, leveraging the distributed infrastructure provided by M1 to achieve fast finality, scalability, and the best consensus mechanism.
Why MOVE?
MOVE is faster, more secure, and more scalable than existing languages like Solidity.
It supports native parallel processing (up to 140,000 TPS) and includes enhanced security features to prevent reentrancy attacks and other common vulnerabilities.
From Solidity to Move
Movement Labs has developed tools like Fractal as part of the Move stack, allowing existing Solidity applications to upgrade seamlessly without leaving their network or spending significant engineering effort to learn Move.
Attracting Applications
Exciting announcements are coming soon, including plans where teams can apply for guaranteed TVL on day one of mainnet — even before any potential token launch!
Movement Validators
Movement Labs is making validation more accessible by removing high barriers to entry, such as expensive hardware or large financial investments. They are working on innovative ways to enable more people to become validators.
