Intel's Gaudi3: A Bold Step in AI Chip Competition, but with Challenges Ahead
The U.S. chip giant Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), held the 'ADVANCING AI' event in San Jose, California, announcing the launch of the highly anticipated new AI chip series, 'Instinct MI300.'
OpenAI, the brains behind ChatGPT, is contemplating the development of its own AI chips.
These novel silicon microchips, developed by the Chicago-based firm p-Chip, employ blockchain to verify data that can be traced back to the milk producer.
Intel expects to stop taking orders for the series, called Blockscale, by October 20 this year and end shipping by April 20 next year, according to a document on the company's website.
The bitcoin mining company is expanding into Texas with new custom-built "green" mining rigs that will be powered by Intel Bonanza Mine chips.
The funding will also be used to provide grant programs for developers building games, health, wellness, media and entertainment experiences focused on extended reality.
The company indicated that the device is designed, in part, for energy-efficient blockchain hashing.
