Strategy CEO Michael Saylor delivered a keynote speech at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference entitled "21 Ways to Wealth".
He said: I travel around the world and tell countries and institutional investors why they need Bitcoin. Bitcoin belongs to everyone, every family, and every small business. It belongs to everyone. Bitcoin is not a scam to get rich quickly, but the ultimate long-term investment. Bitcoin is the cornerstone of generational wealth, the engine of personal and institutional freedom, and the tool for those who have the courage to lead humanity to a more autonomous and secure future.
The first is clarity. Clarity comes when you realize that Bitcoin is capital - perfect capital, programmable capital, incorruptible capital. Every thoughtful person on the planet will eventually pursue this pure capital, and every artificial intelligence system will favor it.
Second is conviction.Bitcoin will appreciate faster than any other asset because it is designed for high yield. "It will grow faster than real estate or collectibles. It is the most effective store of value in human history."
Third is courage."If you want to get rich with Bitcoin, you need courage" "Fortune favors those who take smart money risks. Some will lag, some will thrive. But the brave will be on fire - sell your bonds and buy Bitcoin. An extraordinary explosion of value is coming."
Fourth is collaboration. You will be even more powerful if you have the full support of your family. Your children have the time and the potential. The secret is to transfer capital into their hands. A united family is unstoppable.
Fifth is capability.Master AI, and by 2025, everything you can think of - intelligence, analysis, creativity - will be at your fingertips. Ask AI questions, argue with it, use it. You can become a super genius. Don’t put your ego first, put your interests first.
Sixth is portfolio. Build legal entities that can scale your strategy and protect your assets. This year, everyone should operate like the savviest millionaire family office. Ask AI, it can help you find the answer. You can work hard or you can work smart.
Seventh is citizenship. Choose your economic ties carefully—choose a place to live where a sovereign nation respects your freedoms, not just for this year, but for this century.
Eighth is civilization. Respect the natural power structure of the world. Respect the forces of nature, and if you want to create wealth in the Bitcoin world, don’t fight about it. Find common ground. Inflation and disruption are your enemies.
Ninth is the company. Well-structured companies are the most powerful wealth engines on the planet. The power of family is great, the power of partnership is even greater. But companies can scale globally. What are your tools? What is your path?
10th is focus. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. If you invest in Bitcoin, there’s a 90% chance of success in five years. Don’t confuse ambition with achievement. Develop a strategy and stick with it.
11th is equity. Share your opportunity with investors who are willing to share the risk. MicroStrategy itself soared from $10 million to $5 billion in market value by partnering with equity partners who believed in Bitcoin’s mission.
12th is credit. Some people in the world are afraid of the future—they want small gains and certainty. Provide that. Provide security to creditors in the form of a return on capital. By investing in Bitcoin, turn their fear into motivation and risk into reward.
13th is compliance. Build the best company you can, within the framework of the market rules. Learn the rules of the road. If you know them, you can drive faster. You can expand legally and sustainably.
Fourteenth is capitalization. Speed makes wealth grow. Raise and reinvest capital as quickly and as often as possible. The faster you can get your money into an effective Bitcoin strategy, the faster it will grow.
Fifteen is communication. Speak candidly, act transparently, and repeat your message often. Creating wealth with Bitcoin is easy—but only if people understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
Sixteenth is commitment. Don’t let yourself get distracted. Don’t chase your own ideas. Don’t feed the trolls. Stay committed to Bitcoin. It’s the greatest idea in the world. The world may not care what you think—but it will when you succeed.
Seventeenth is capability. You’re not competing against noise—you’re competing against someone who is focused and executing flawlessly. You must deliver consistent, precise, and reliable performance. That’s how you win.
Eighteenth is adaptability. The environment changes rapidly. Every system you trust today will eventually collapse. Wise people are prepared to jettison baggage and adjust plans when necessary. Rigidity leads to destruction.
Nineteenth is evolution. Build on your core strengths. You don’t need to start from scratch—you need to constantly upgrade. Take advantage of your existing strengths and expand them with Bitcoin and advanced technology.
Twenty is advocacy. Inspire others to follow the Bitcoin path and become evangelists for economic freedom. Show others what this revolution is really about. Show them the way.
Twenty-first is generosity. When you succeed—and you will—spread joy. Share security. Pass on hope. The light within you will shine. Others will be drawn to it.
Finally, Saylor’s speech ended with a quote from Satoshi Nakamoto: "If Bitcoin becomes popular, it might make sense to buy some." - Satoshi Nakamoto
