Pump.fun is once again leading Solana’s memecoin launchpad scene, edging ahead of LetsBonk.fun in daily new token launches.
As of writing, data from Dune Analytics shows Pump.fun recently facilitated the creation of 23,214 new tokens in 24 hours, more than six times ahead of LetsBonk’s 3,669.
The two platforms have emerged as the clear front-runners on Solana, controlling the vast majority of launchpad activity.
Pump.fun holds a 69.6% share of the market, with LetsBonk.fun far behind at 15.7%.
Other platforms like Bags (12.5%), Buntfun (0.577%), and Boop (0.471%) trail far behind.
Pump.fun’s resurgence follows renewed interest in its native token, PUMP, which recently climbed 4.3% in value over the past week to $0.003242, though still down over 40% from its post-ICO peak of $0.006812.
The token’s momentum appears to be part of a strategic push, including a multimillion-dollar buyback effort detected on-chain.
Last month’s initial coin offering raised $600 million in just 12 minutes, marking a dramatic moment for the platform.
While PUMP’s price dropped shortly after, signs of recovery have followed the buyback activity.
Kronos Research CIO Vincent Liu said,
"Pump.fun, the legacy launchpad with deeper liquidity and history, recently re-flipped LetsBONK.fun as its PUMP token regained momentum.”
Liu noted,
"LetsBONK's strong community and Raydium integration continue driving its rapid growth, making liquidity and community the core of their rivalry. The true test will be which platform endures with continuous development and active community engagement."
Outside Solana, new competition is brewing.
Launchpads on Base, the Ethereum Layer 2 network backed by Coinbase, have recently surpassed Solana in total new token launches.
The momentum was boosted by the launch of the Base App, which includes Zora and Farcaster, a platform that automatically turns social posts into tradable ERC-20 tokens.
With rival networks innovating rapidly, and two dominant players pushing each other forward, Solana’s memecoin launchpad race is evolving faster than ever.
