The web3 move-to-earn app, STEPN, has announced the launch of a 100 million FSL Points 'trailblazer' airdrop campaign in anticipation of an upcoming partnership. The Solana-based non-fungible token (NFT) project plans to divide this airdrop, valued at $30 million, into two phases, as the FSL Points can be redeemed for STEPN's native GMT tokens.
In the first phase, the airdrop will target STEPN's Badge Holders, distributing FSL Points based on the complexity of their completed in-app activities and challenges. The second phase will focus on Genesis Sneaker holders, rewarding them with FSL Points based on the duration of their ownership, recognizing their loyalty and sustained engagement with the app.
Holders of FSL Points will have two options for their use: they can convert these points to GMT tokens on the STEPN marketplace or retain them to buy tickets for Raffle Mints in future events and upcoming partnerships.
STEPN's CEO, Shiti Manghani, expressed gratitude to the community members, stating,
"We have decided to launch this huge airdrop campaign as a token of gratitude to our most loyal community members, providing them with priority access to our upcoming mints and other exclusive rewards."
This campaign marks the third yearly airdrop since the first launched in 2022. The app has distributed 235 million GMT tokens during these events.
Eligible airdrop recipients have until April 29 to claim their rewards, after which the allocated tokens will be lost.
In addition to the airdrop, STEPN also teased an upcoming partnership with "one of the world's best-known sports brands." Manghani highlighted the app's growth plans for the year, stating,
"The next few months mark a pivotal moment for STEPN, and we're thrilled to share this with our most dedicated supporters."
