He's not a supermodel or a rich man. However, one of those things would soon change.
Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali, more commonly known as Ghozali to the online community, was a 22-year-old student in Indonesia who became a millionaire overnight in 2022. His astounding success shocked everyone, including himself.
Self-proclaimed meme officer claims he was lucky to make some money from taking selfies over the last six years of his life before disappearing from social media in 2023.
In March 2024, he returned with a comeback that fetched nearly twice the amount he earned previously. The new project is a continuation of his first NFT venture, Ghozali Everyday, which includes 933 selfies of him sitting in front of his computer. His continuation with Ghozali 404 contains 177 unique assets with various meme edits and even unique shoutouts to supporters. In contrast to the low-effort selfies he took in front of a computer for six years, the second part of Ghozali's project destroyed his presale target of 400 Ether, earning him an estimate of USD$1.8 million. The humble millionaire refunded the excess and is now a spokesperson for his cryptocurrency success with interviews with various media in Indonesia.
Given the rise of Memecoin in the NFT and crypto market, perhaps there could be more selfie millionaires like Ghozali in the future.
