Jason has already explained the X recommendation mechanism very clearly! I'll supplement it with a structured, practical guide; this is the traffic code hidden in the source code.
1. Weight Ranking: Sharing is the Hard Currency
The algorithm scores different behaviors completely differently: Sharing (RT) > Reply > Like.
Dwell time is very important: If your text can make people stop and read it to the end, the algorithm will determine that it is high-quality content and continue to push it (please read slowly, dear readers).
2. Visual Enhancement: The Era of Pure Text is Over
The source code shows that images and videos have special weight multipliers.
Tweets with images have a much higher exposure chance than plain text (nona banana, get it!).
Video content has a very high distribution priority in the current algorithm-driven recommendation stream (For You).
3. Don't drive traffic out (external links are a no-no)
The algorithm's KPI is user retention. Tweets with YouTube or external website links will trigger weight penalties (if you really need them, put them in the comments section).
4. Don't be a "general store"
X uses SimClusters logic to categorize you. If you post about technology today and pets tomorrow, the algorithm will stop pushing your feed because it can't target your audience.
So stay vertical.
The more focused you are on a particular field, the higher the "weighting" of that circle on you. 5. Blue Label Support Blue Label (Premium) is a "traffic plug-in" hard-coded in the source code, increasing your weight several times over. To earn creator revenue, you must pay first. What other methods can increase the influence of an X account? I think topicality is also very important. For example, my recent posts about Manus and housing in the UAE went viral because these are issues that people care about. Additionally, sincere sharing that resonates with others can also gain attention, such as my reflections on investment mistakes over the past year. To summarize a viral template: Start with a poignant hook + high-definition images/videos + vertical, informative content + interactive comments.
