What is Helium
Helium is a decentralized, peer-to-peer wireless network designed to allow low-power devices to communicate with each other and the internet. The Helium network is intended to provide coverage for a wide range of use cases, including Internet of Things (IoT) applications, asset tracking, and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. One of the key features of the Helium network is its use of hotspots, which are physical devices that transmit and receive data on the network and help to extend its coverage. Hotspots can be set up by anyone, and earn rewards for providing coverage to the network.
