India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Jaiswal, reiterated the country's oil purchasing strategy, emphasizing that it is guided by national interests. According to RTHK, Jaiswal stated that India's Foreign Secretary, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, had previously clarified India's stance on oil procurement, which remains unchanged. India will explore purchasing oil from Venezuela if commercial conditions permit.
Citing earlier reports from Indian media, Xinhua News Agency noted that on the 9th of this month, Shringla responded to related inquiries by affirming that India's energy policy consistently adheres to principles of adequate supply, reasonable pricing, and stable sources. India is committed to diversifying its energy supply in alignment with national interests.
