NEAR has launched a new feature called Confidential Intents, aimed at enhancing privacy in cross-chain transactions within the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. According to Foresight News, this feature is integrated into NEAR Intents and addresses the longstanding issue of transaction transparency in DeFi.
Confidential Intents utilize NEAR's private shards to create a restricted visibility execution environment, ensuring that transaction details remain hidden during the settlement process. Users can seamlessly switch between main and confidential accounts on the near.com application, enabling privacy mode for transfers, deposits, and withdrawals. Additionally, a privacy feature for currency swaps is set to be introduced soon.
This functionality is designed for institutional capital, corporate users, and advanced DeFi users, offering a privacy protection layer for cross-chain positions.
