Dollar Index Rises as Major Currencies Weaken

The dollar index, which measures the U.S. dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.67% to close at 99.046. According to Jin10, the euro fell to 1.1603 dollars from the previous day's 1.1707 dollars, while the British pound decreased to 1.3334 dollars from 1.3422 dollars. The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, rising to 157.76 yen from 157.23 yen, and against the Swiss franc, increasing to 0.7822 francs from 0.7784 francs. Meanwhile, the dollar slightly weakened against the Canadian dollar, falling to 1.3667 from 1.3673, but gained against the Swedish krona, rising to 9.2882 from 9.1347.
