Romania is set to approve a U.S. request to temporarily deploy fighter jets at a Black Sea airbase, according to informed sources. This move aims to support U.S. military operations in the Middle East. According to Jin10, Washington plans to send multiple aircraft to the Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, where extensive logistical operations and refueling will take place. Additionally, one source revealed that the U.S. intends to deploy up to 500 soldiers to Romania. On Wednesday, Romanian President Nicusor convened the Supreme Defense Council to discuss the possibility of deploying 'additional military capabilities' on Romanian soil, although the U.S. was not specifically mentioned. Romania has been a NATO member since 2004.
