European stock markets experienced notable gains, with Spain and Italy leading the way, each rising nearly 1% or more. According to RTHK, the stock markets in the UK, France, and Germany closed higher for the second consecutive day. The UK's FTSE 100 index ended at 10,403 points, up 85 points, marking an increase of over 0.8% and reaching a one-week high. Germany's DAX index closed at 23,730 points, gaining 166 points, which is a 0.7% rise and also a one-week high. Meanwhile, France's CAC index finished at 7,974 points, up 38 points, with an approximate increase of 0.5%.
