The U.S. Senate has rejected a war powers resolution aimed at limiting U.S. President Donald Trump's ability to take military action against Iran. According to Jin10, the resolution, proposed by New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker, was defeated in a 53-47 vote on Wednesday. This marks the third time efforts to restrict Trump's military actions against Iran have failed. Earlier, on March 4, the Senate also voted down a similar resolution introduced by Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine. This was the second attempt within a year to limit Trump's military actions against Iran, following a previous rejection in June after U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
