Aave Releases Update on rsETH Event with Debt Management Scenarios

On April 21, Aave released an update regarding the rsETH event, outlining two scenarios for managing bad debt. According to BlockBeats, the first scenario involves socializing the losses across the entire chain, while the second limits the losses to L2 rsETH. Aave also stated that Aave DAO service providers and ecosystem participants are jointly leading efforts to address any bad debt issues. This initiative has received several preliminary commitments from various parties. It is reported that the Aave DAO protocol treasury holds reserves of approximately $181 million.
