Sui Ecosystem Protocol Volo Reports Security Breach Resulting in $3.5 Million Theft

Sui ecosystem protocol Volo has reported a security breach on the X platform, resulting in the theft of approximately $3.5 million in assets, including WBTC, XAUm, and USDC. According to PANews, Volo detected the attack and promptly informed the Sui Foundation and ecosystem partners, freezing all vaults to prevent further losses. The breach affected only three specific vaults, and the remaining total value locked (TVL) of about $28 million in other Volo vaults remains secure, with no shared attack vectors identified. Volo has expressed its intention to absorb the losses internally and minimize the impact on users. Once the crisis is resolved, the team plans to develop a remediation strategy and will announce detailed plans as soon as possible.
