Iranian President Says U.S. Is Greedy and Untrustworthy

According to Jin10, Iranian President Pezeshkian said at the Bishkek summit that after about three months of talks, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, the United States and Iran reached an agreement on June 28 called the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. He said U.S. commitments to the memorandum broke down less than two weeks after the U.S. president signed it, and that greed and untrustworthy behavior have continued since then. Pezeshkian said Iran has responded accordingly to the U.S. breach of commitments, but added that if the United States restores its commitments to the memorandum, Iran will immediately take reciprocal action. He also said that unlike the United States, Iran has a glorious history of fulfilling international obligations and treaties and has always followed the basic principles of international law.
