Hyperscale Data (NYSE: GPUS) said it stopped all Bitcoin mining operations at its Michigan data center on September 1 to support the rollout of AI data center infrastructure under a previously announced master services agreement (MSA). According to Foresight News, Chief Executive William Horne also expects additional proceeds from selling related Bitcoin mining servers.
The MSA was signed with a California cloud services customer and covers a 20-megawatt deployment. The initial term runs for 10 years and includes two five-year extension options. If fully exercised, the agreement is expected to generate more than $1.2 billion in revenue. The contract also gives the customer an option for an additional 32 megawatts of capacity, and if that option is exercised within the first two years of the initial term and extended through both five-year renewals, total contract revenue is expected to exceed $3 billion.
