US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that South Korea, Japan, and other countries will go to Alaska to buy oil in large volumes and build a pipeline. According to Sina Finance, he made the remarks at a White House news conference and also said he plans to visit Alaska to help Republican candidates.
Trump said the Trump administration has been trying to get South Korea, Japan, and other countries to cooperate on an Alaska liquefied natural gas project. He said the project aims to build a 1,287-kilometer gas pipeline from the North Slope, which has large proven natural gas reserves, and cool the gas into liquid form for shipment to Asia.
