According to PANews, Slow Mist founder, Yu Xin, has issued a warning about the potential risks of using system built-in input methods. He suggests that using these methods is a good habit to reduce attack surfaces. However, he also warns that if any risks are discovered within the system input method and are not resolved promptly, users should be cautious.
Yu Xin further advises against sharing sensitive information such as mnemonic phrases or private keys online. He states that such information should never be exposed to the internet unless the user is indifferent to potential risks.
Earlier, a tweet from Shen Yu suggested that the input content of up to a billion users of cloud input methods may have been leaked. He urged anyone who has used any cloud input method to input mnemonic phrases or other sensitive information to take immediate measures to reduce risk.
