According to Odaily, Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, recently announced that the value of his Notcoin (NOT) donation has quadrupled in the past two weeks. The donation, which was initially worth $6 million, is now valued at $24 million. Notcoin's daily trading volume reached $4 billion the previous day, making it one of the top five cryptocurrencies in the world by trading volume.
Previously, Notcoin announced on platform X that it had donated 1,030,383,291.36 NOT tokens, equivalent to $6.8 million, to Pavel Durov and Telegram as a token of appreciation for their support. Durov expressed his gratitude to the Notcoin community, which now exceeds 500,000 users, for the generous gift of NOT tokens. He stated that he plans to hold onto these tokens until their value reaches $680 million, at which point he intends to use the funds to purchase additional servers for Telegram.
Durov has previously expressed his support for the Notcoin project, stating that the story of Notcoin demonstrates the powerful influence of the Telegram/TON ecosystem on app developers. According to Durov, Telegram offers app developers more freedom than any other platform, providing unparalleled opportunities to leverage social interaction for viral spread. In turn, TON provides scalability and flexibility for any blockchain project built on top of it.
