Bolivia Proposes Virtual Currency for Cross-Border Payments

According to Foresight News, Bolivian Central Bank Governor Edwin Rojas has proposed the creation of a virtual currency named 'Virtual Boliviano.' The initiative aims to facilitate cross-border payments typically conducted in U.S. dollars through crypto assets. The project is currently in draft form and is receiving input from international organizations and central banks in regions already utilizing national virtual currencies. The official launch is planned for August.
