South Korea to Lift Ban on Venture Capital for Crypto Firms

According to PANews, South Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups has announced the lifting of a ban on venture capital investments in cryptocurrency-related businesses, effective September 16. This ban, in place since 2018, was originally implemented to curb excessive speculation in the sector. The recent amendment will remove crypto trading and brokerage firms from the list of 'restricted risk enterprises,' allowing them to apply for venture capital funding.
