Brera Holdings to Acquire $50 Million in SOL from Solana Foundation

According to PANews, Brera Holdings, a company listed on Nasdaq, has announced its intention to purchase $50 million worth of SOL directly from the Solana Foundation. This acquisition is part of a strategic agreement aimed at supporting the company's Solana infrastructure and reinforcing its role as a key component of the UAE's digital transformation agenda. Brera Holdings, now known as Solmate, will participate in the 'Solana By Design' initiative, granting the Solana Foundation the right to nominate up to two directors. Meanwhile, Ark Invest has revealed that as of September 30, it holds approximately 11.5% of Solmate's shares, having initially subscribed to 6,500,001 shares through a private investment in public equity (PIPE) and subsequently increasing its stake by 779,619 shares.
