Early Retired Cats Club or ERCC for short, has seen all 1,930 of its NFTs cleared out within the span of minutes.

As of point of publication, the collection currently commands a floor price of 0.12 ETH, which translates to about 270 USD.

The collection has also had 79 ETH of total trading volume, ranking it 4th on Opensea's trending collections.

Early Retired Cats Club

Hailing from the universe of Cats & Soup, a hit mobile game, the story of the super adorable Early Retired Cats is that of whimsy.

The result is adorable - a playful experience almost as whimsical as watching cats busy themselves with soup ingredients in the game's Starry Cat Village.

ERCC is a collection of 1,930 cats that have come from a distant planet onto earth.

The NFT collection will feature them in all 193 countries of the United Nations, with 10 cats allocated to each country.

Not just that, they will have randomised attributes that are unique, at least by six degrees of separation.

Neowiz's Involvement

An initiative by Neowiz, a gaming studio famous for other hits such as DJMax and Lies of P, the collection promises that there is more in store for its holders.

Though this is done with a metaphorical wink and a nod since there is no official information about such perks on its channels at this point.

Incidentally, this is not Neowiz's first foray into Web3.

The company recently made news by being the fourth top 100 gaming company by market cap to align with Avalanche.

Minting Details

The ERCC mint was not merely a celebration of Cats & Soup, it was also done as the inaugural project on the Intella X Launchpad.

Spanning across two days, the first day being the whitelist mint, and the second day being an allowlist mint, there was very little chance of this first come first serve free mint reaching the public mint.

Unlike typical NFT mints however, Ethereum-based ERCC has decided to make minting exclusive to the Intella X wallet through the Intella X Launchpad.

This stopped the participation of bots who typically depend on seedphrases to automate contract interaction.

Participants were expecting a gas war, but organic minting allowed for a very smooth minting experience.

ERCC was quick to attribute this to the Intella X wallet, which was founded through a collaboration with known social integration blockchain service Web3Auth.

What is Intella X Launchpad?

Intella X's NFT Launchpad helps gamers gain access to minting events, enabling the creation of unique digital assets on the blockchain network.

The platform purportedly will allow users to obtain new and exclusive gaming or Profile Picture (PFP) NFTs with complete ownership in the Web3 space.

Intella X states that the Launchpad will serve as a valuable space for game developers and NFT creators to showcase projects, acquire funding, build project presence, and connect with a vast gaming community.

Reveal Date

Supporters that have minted a ERCC NFT can expect to see their art revealed on the 31st of January, though details are still scant on that front.

A moderator on the project's Discord has also hinted that owners with multiple ERCCs will see cumulative benefits, though it was never explicitly stated what these benefits are.

This has not stopped many in the community in suspecting the introduction of a new token.
