Trump’s Meme Coin Rewards Product Buyers with Airdrop
As the US marks Presidents’ Day, the Trump meme project team has announced an airdrop for those who supported the former president during the election season.
Supporters who purchased merchandise from Trump-affiliated websites are being rewarded with a few dollars worth of the official TRUMP token.
Launched on 17 January 2025, the $Trump meme coin quickly made waves, attracting nearly one million Trump loyalists to the crypto space, with 50% of holders being first-time crypto users.
Eligible individuals can claim three $Trump coins by 1 March, provided they have bought official merchandise.
The claim process is simple, requiring participants to input the email used for their purchase, and each email address is allocated the same reward regardless of how many items were bought.
The airdrop appears to be part of a broader strategy to transform $Trump holders into an active crypto community, one that the project aims to position as the "biggest, strongest" in the world.
Trump-branded products, such as the limited edition Trump-themed Bitcoin Sneakers sold for $500 in July (and resold for up to $2,500), have proven to be highly sought after in the market.
TRUMP Down 8% in Last 24 Hours
TRUMP, currently trading at $16.49, has fallen 8.08% in the past 24 hours, mirroring the broader decline in the crypto market.
Over the past week, it has also dropped 0.52%, according to CoinMarketCap.
After launching at just a few dollars, the token surged to over $75, reaching a $13 billion valuation at its peak.
However, recent sell-offs, the overall downturn in the crypto market, and growing concerns about the token’s distribution have significantly impacted its price, which is now down over 75% from its highs.
