US continues to pressure Nigeria to release Binance executives Tigran Gambaryan

Congressmen Rich McCormick and French Hill have introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives urging the Nigerian government to release Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan.
The resolution requests the U.S. government to employ all available diplomatic channels to secure Gambaryan's release.
The resolution specifically calls for Nigeria to allow unlimited and unimpeded consulate visits to Gambaryan, in accordance with international standards. It also stresses the importance of providing Gambaryan with prompt and proper medical attention.
Tigran Gambaryan's physical condition is worrying
On May 23, Gambaryan collapsed in court from malaria, the statement by the family spokesperson said. Since then, the "conditions have worsened and Tigran now has pneumonia."
Despite a court order by Justice Emeka Nwite to take the executive to hospital, the prison authorities took 11 days to take him for a brief check-up and the results of this have not yet been released to his family, the spokesperson said.
"We really need the U.S. government to intervene more forcefully for the immediate release of an innocent American citizen," Tigran's wife Yuki Gambaryan said in the statement. "This has gone on too long and Tigran's life is at risk."
Tigran Gambaryan incident draws global attention
Gambaryan's detention has garnered global attention. The resolution insists that Nigeria must respect his rights during detention.
Congressman McCormick emphasized that Gambaryan's release is crucial for upholding human rights and due process. He called for transparency and fair treatment for all detained individuals, particularly foreign nationals.
