According to ShibDaily, Richard Kim, a former executive at prominent Wall Street firms, has been charged by federal prosecutors with defrauding investors in his startup crypto casino, Zero Edge. The government alleges that Kim solicited over $7 million under false pretenses and misappropriated the funds, losing most through high-risk trades and gambling. Kim, who previously held positions at Galaxy Digital, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase, was arrested on Tuesday, as detailed in court filings. The formal complaint, filed in the Southern District of New York, accuses Kim of wire fraud and securities fraud, allegedly occurring between March and July 2024. The FBI agent's sworn statement claims Kim devised a scheme to defraud investors.
