This issue resulted in validators being unable to certify new checkpoints, causing transaction submission timeouts. The problem was not related to network congestion or transaction volume. Sui's checkpoint certification and isolation mechanisms promptly detected and controlled the issue, preventing any visible forks by pausing processes. After validators deployed a fix and reprocessed consensus data, the network returned to normal operation. The official statement confirmed that no certified transactions were rolled back during the incident, and user funds remained secure.
