This vision contrasts with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's perspective, which emphasizes Ethereum's development into a self-sustaining blockchain. Yakovenko articulated his thoughts in a post on X, stating that Solana must never cease its iterative process. He emphasized that the network should not rely on any single entity or individual for its evolution, warning that stagnation could lead to its demise. His comments were in response to Buterin's assertion that Ethereum should eventually reach a stage where it can pass the "walkaway test," becoming self-sufficient without ongoing developer intervention for decades.
