Environmental Groups Challenge EPA's Greenhouse Gas Decision in Court

Seventeen environmental and public health organizations have filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its Administrator, Lee Zeldin, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. According to Jin10, the lawsuit opposes the Trump administration's decision to revoke the EPA's 2009 determination that greenhouse gases pose a threat to public health and safety. The plaintiffs are seeking judicial review of the EPA's decision to overturn the greenhouse gas endangerment finding and related vehicle emission restrictions. The organizations involved in the lawsuit include the American Public Health Association, the American Lung Association, the Center for Biological Diversity, the Clean Air Council, and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
