World Liberty Financial Introduces Staking Model for USD1 Stablecoin

World Liberty Financial has unveiled a new staking model that requires participants to hold 10 million WLFI tokens, equivalent to approximately $1 million, to obtain market-making rights for its USD1 stablecoin. According to NS3.AI, this initiative aims to shift arbitrage profits typically earned by institutional firms to those involved in staking, while also enhancing governance through extended token lock-up periods. Despite a recent attack that led to temporary price instability and investor outflows, USD1 continues to rank as the fifth-largest stablecoin by circulating supply.
