Indiana Governor Signs Bitcoin Rights Bill into Law

The Governor of Indiana has officially signed the HB 1042 bill, known as the Bitcoin Rights Bill, into law. According to PANews, this legislation aims to safeguard Bitcoin rights by prohibiting discriminatory tax policies against cryptocurrencies and allowing the use of digital assets in state retirement plans. Previously, it was reported that if the bill received the governor's signature, it would take effect on July 1, 2026.
