Trust Wallet Introduces Address-Poisoning Protection Across EVM-Compatible Blockchains

Trust Wallet has implemented a new feature to safeguard users from address-poisoning scams across 32 EVM-compatible blockchains. According to NS3.AI, this protection screens destination addresses against a database of known scam and lookalike addresses, blocking transactions when a match is detected. Trust Wallet reports that address-poisoning scams have occurred over 225 million times, resulting in approximately $500 million in confirmed losses, with recent incidents involving tens of millions of dollars.
