Grayscale Predicts $2.2 Trillion Crypto Demand from Generational Wealth Transfer

Grayscale has projected that a generational wealth transfer could lead to approximately $2.2 trillion in new demand for cryptocurrencies. According to NS3.AI, this estimate is based on the assumption that 2% of the assets transferred by older generations will be invested in the crypto market. Currently, Americans over the age of 60 possess around $110 trillion in assets. In contrast, 45% of Millennials and Gen Z are reported to own cryptocurrencies, compared to only 18% of older generations.
