Beijing Energy International H1 Operating Cash Inflow Rises 41.7%

Beijing Energy International (00686) said operating cash generated in the six months ended June 30 rose 41.6% year on year to RMB 1.25 billion, according to ETNet. Net cash inflow from operating activities increased 41.7% to RMB 1.013 billion from RMB 715 million a year earlier. Net cash outflow from investing activities narrowed 50.2% to RMB 1.166 billion, mainly because capital expenditure fell to RMB 1.362 billion. Net cash outflow from financing activities was RMB 435 million, compared with a net inflow of RMB 1.802 billion in the same period last year. During the period, the company issued RMB 300 million of perpetual medium-term notes and settled RMB 1.6 billion of perpetual medium-term notes. Cash and cash equivalents fell by RMB 588 million during the period to RMB 5.533 billion at the end of June, up about 2.5% from RMB 5.398 billion a year earlier.
