STOCKS | Lithium Shares Fall As Carbonate Futures Extend Losses

Lithium-related shares came under pressure on Tuesday, with CATL (03750) down 3.9% at HK$569, Ganfeng Lithium (01772) off 6.1% at HK$38.02 and Tianqi Lithium (09696) lower by 4% at HK$36.06, according to ETNet. The main carbon lithium futures contract fell for a second straight session and was down 3.54% at RMB 154,300 after dropping as much as 4% intraday. The Hang Seng Index was at 25,076, down 253 points or 1%, while turnover on the main board exceeded HK$114.7 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 1.1% to 8,368 and the Hang Seng Tech Index lost 1.5% to 4,482.
