Ethereum Foundation Urged to Reposition Focus on Decentralized Finance

According to Odaily, management consultant and Ethereum investor DCinvestor has called for a strategic repositioning of the Ethereum Foundation (EF). In a recent post on the X platform, DCinvestor emphasized that EF should publicly highlight Ethereum (ETH) as programmable money, with censorship resistance being a core value proposition of the technology. DCinvestor argued that Ethereum is not competing with traditional financial institutions like PayPal or Charles Schwab in custodial services for real-world assets (RWAs). Instead, Ethereum aims to create a global financial and digital ownership internet free from centralized control. He believes that with the completion of the ETF and the establishment of commodity positioning, it is now time to focus on building the decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure that the world needs. While acknowledging the role of RWAs, DCinvestor stressed that decentralized liquidity is the essence of blockchain technology.
