Brazil's Data Protection Agency Monitors Worldcoin Activities

According to Foresight News, Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) is actively monitoring the activities of Worldcoin, previously known as World, within the country. The agency has expressed concerns over the risks associated with handling biometric data and has requested detailed information regarding the company's operations. An investigation is underway to understand the internal processes and the handling of private biometric data by the company. Worldcoin began its operations in Brazil in November of last year and claims that over 150,000 individuals have participated in its project.
