Solana Implements New Fee Distribution Model

According to PANews, Solana has launched SIMD-96, a new fee distribution model on its platform. This update changes the previous fee mechanism from a 50-50 split, where 50% of fees were burned and 50% allocated to validators, to a model where 100% of the fees are directly distributed to validators. The proposal for this change, known as SIMD-0096, was approved last May. Its implementation on the Solana mainnet was anticipated to take several months.
