India's CBI Seizes Cryptocurrency in Nationwide Fraud Crackdown

According to PANews, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in India has announced the seizure of cryptocurrency valued at 239.4 million Indian Rupees (approximately 2.75 million USD) in connection with the Gainbitcoin fraud case. This operation was part of a nationwide crackdown targeting individuals and entities suspected of money laundering. The searches were conducted from February 25 to 26, 2025, across more than 60 locations in India. Major cities involved in the operation included Delhi, Pune, Nadiad, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jhansi, and Hubli.
