According to Odaily, the UK government released a consultation paper on April 29, outlining a legislative proposal for the cryptocurrency sector. The plan includes introducing regulated activities such as operating crypto asset trading platforms and issuing stablecoins. Additionally, the draft covers regulatory frameworks for market abuse, listing, and disclosure systems. Although the consultation was initiated under the Conservative government in 2023, the Labour government has expressed its intention to continue advancing the previous administration's crypto agenda. This initiative aims to regulate the cryptocurrency industry, safeguard investor interests, and promote healthy market development.
