HSBC Focuses on Blockchain Applications in Key Areas

According to BlockBeats, HSBC's Chief Digital, Data, and Innovation Officer, Zhu Kuang Lee, announced that the bank will concentrate its blockchain applications on three main areas: digital asset custody, the HSBC Orion platform, and tokenization. Over the past year and a half, HSBC's private blockchain, HSBC Orion, has successfully issued more than ten bonds in regions like Hong Kong, with a total issuance exceeding $1.5 billion. Additionally, Zhu Kuang Lee disclosed that China Asset Management Company (China AMC) has appointed HSBC as the tokenization agent for the pilot program under Project Ensemble in Hong Kong.
