According to PANews, U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose blanket tariffs of 15% or 20% on most trade partners during an interview with NBC on Thursday. He dismissed concerns that further tariff increases could negatively impact the stock market or drive inflation. Trump stated, "All remaining countries will pay, whether it's 20% or 15% tariffs. We will address this issue now. I believe these tariffs are welcomed. Today, the stock market reached a new high." He emphasized that not everyone needs to receive a formal notice, saying, "You know. We are just setting tariffs." Currently, the United States has a blanket tariff rate of 10%.
