U.S. Court Rules in Favor of Bloomberg in Crypto Disclosure Case

According to PANews, on September 22, a U.S. federal judge in Delaware ruled in favor of Bloomberg in a lawsuit filed by Justin Sun, seeking to prevent the publication of his cryptocurrency holdings. Sun had submitted a motion for a temporary restraining order to stop Bloomberg from disclosing specific details about his assets. Judge Colm Connolly determined that Sun failed to provide clear and convincing evidence that Bloomberg had agreed not to disclose his asset details. Court documents revealed that Sun holds 60 billion TRX, 17,000 BTC, 224,000 ETH, and 700 million USDT. In February, Bloomberg contacted Sun's team for its Billionaires Index, leading to Sun initially filing and then withdrawing a lawsuit after the article's publication. Following unsuccessful negotiations, Sun filed another motion on September 11, requesting Bloomberg to remove the related content. Sun claimed that a reporter had promised confidentiality, which Bloomberg denied. The judge also noted that Sun did not demonstrate that the disclosure of information would make him more vulnerable, and that Sun himself had disclosed more specific Bitcoin information.
