U.S. Tariffs on Furniture and Pharmaceuticals to Increase in October

According to PANews, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced new tariffs set to take effect from October 1, 2025. A 50% tariff will be imposed on all kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and related products. Additionally, upholstered furniture will face a 30% tariff. Heavy-duty trucks manufactured outside the United States will incur a 25% tariff. Furthermore, a 100% tariff will be applied to pharmaceutical products unless the company is establishing its manufacturing facilities within the U.S. These measures are part of the administration's efforts to encourage domestic production and reduce reliance on foreign imports.
