According to Odaily, Nic Carter, known as the father of smart contracts and co-founder of Castle Island Ventures, expressed concerns on the X platform about the proliferation of low-quality content due to incentivized posts combined with AI. Carter noted that the early appeal of crypto tweets lay in grassroots competition, but the industry's growth focus has shifted towards stablecoins and financial infrastructure, favoring institutional and venture capital narratives. This shift has made it difficult for ordinary retail investors to feel they have opportunities for fair participation and wealth creation, leading to decreased enthusiasm. Carter also pointed out that the 'de-niche' design of the X platform, which emphasizes 'For You' recommendations, makes it challenging for creators to reach their niche communities, reducing the chances for specialized crypto content to be recommended. He added that the X platform has swiftly responded by revoking API access for the 'InfoFi' application to reduce spam content, a move he strongly supports.
