David Rosenberg, founder and president of Rosenberg Research, posted on X that in the current volatile market environment, a strategic trade involving a long position in gold paired with a short position in silver could yield significant returns. According to Rosenberg, this approach would have resulted in a net positive return of 14% in a single day, outperforming Bitcoin, which saw a 10% decline on the same day. Rosenberg highlighted that Walter Murphy noted Bitcoin's drop below $74,000, which he described as a critical support level. This breach suggests that Bitcoin could face further declines, potentially as severe as the initial drop. Rosenberg suggested that adding Bitcoin to the silver position in the strategy could enhance the overall performance when paired with gold. This recommendation comes amid ongoing market fluctuations, where gold appears to be a more stable investment compared to the volatility observed in Bitcoin and silver.
