CME Increases Silver and Gold Futures Margins Again

Qinbafrank posted on X. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has announced its sixth increase in the initial margin requirement for COMEX 5000 silver futures, raising it from 15% to 18%. This marks the sixth adjustment in recent times. Additionally, the initial margin for gold futures has been increased from 8% to 9%. Historically, significant increases in margin requirements have coincided with major peaks in the silver market. The CME's regulatory intervention remains notably strong during the current silver market conditions.
